An absolute pleasure to read with a plethora of information on Ronnie's life from his early years until his unfortunate death as told by many of his closest friends and band mates. This biographer really did his homework and it shows. The voice of rock shall live forever! RIP Ronnie

This book was a bit of a letdown to be honest. It doesn’t really have a target audience for fans of RJD. Let me explain.If you’re already a fan, you’ve already read 85 pct. of the material (with the exception of the youngest little dio pages). There is so much “curated material” from every article you’ve already probably read over the years. There’s countless chapters and pages that are so basic to the story of RJD that if you dont know already, you’re either not a basic fan, or you’ve never heard of the man before. (in which case you wouldn’t be buying the book). example: We already know when, why, and how his tenure with black sabbath came to be.As far as the inside info, the gems, the behind the scenes insight into the man....well... there’s a little bit. There’s some good reading of info provided by Claude Schnell as to how and why he was fired and a couple pages on why and how Tracie G was fired. But overall, there just wasnt enough revelation overall in the book for me personally.meh. Maybe Vinny Appice should write a book about his times as RJD’s best bud.

Just started reading the book. I really love the text of book it's easy to read. The author does an amazing job bringing the reader into Ronnie's life. There is some personal photos of him in the book as well. Been waiting for a Bio about Ronnie and I'm not disappointed at all this book was worth the wait.

Good bio on Ronnie James Dio... a shame not more from his own POV, but the author did a good drop putting together Ronnie’s life story from all of the available text out there.... a good read...

It was for me like going back in time and reliving the gigs and daily lives that we lived. It also shares insight to many things about Ronnie that are not public knowledge and the read in so very interesting you will have a hard time putting it down. 98% of folks have no idea what it takes to become a top rock and roll legend and Ronnie surely is! By his own peers he has been declared the best heavy metal singer and entertainer that has ever made it to the top. So enjoy the read it is well worth the money!

Being from Ronnie's hometown and following him from a having a talented teen band up to his way too early tragic death, I found James Cull's book to be not only accurate but fascinating as we follow this young man through out his amazing career.A must read for the thousands of Ronnie James Dio's fans.

Now pregnant, she returns to the orphanage and helps protect its residents, still hoping to be reunited with Kevork. Because the story is told in alternating perspectives, readers know that both teens have survived, which removes some dramatic tension but allows the author to explore the development of the characters. Such is the universality of their feelings that a deep understanding of the historical context is not necessary, but would be helpful. Fortunately, a fairly detailed historical note and map provide context for readers who have likely heard very little about the second-largest genocide in history. the binding all fell apart right after i started reading it. i had to read it with my little for a school project. book is ok but quality of book construction is awful.

This book tells the story of three teens who lived during the Armenian Holocaust of 1916. A writer in my former writing group introduced me to this horrible part of history where Turks basically tried to murdered millions of Armenians and say the problem never existed. This book is riveting and powerful. After the war, one of the teens, disguised as an Arab, travels back to Turkey hoping both his betrothed and sister, who was sold into slavery, are alive. Some of the images are graphic but the author does a great job showing the horror these teens witnessed while the world was in denial.I was hooked on the first page and ended up reading past 1am just wanting to know what would happen with these characters. Also the story doesn't portray all Muslims in a bad light, which is a plus for me considering my own brother-in-law is Muslim. This is one story that will stay with you.

Just be warned once you buy your child one of these books, you will eventually have to get the whole set!Not sure what it is about these books, but my daughter is obsessed. I work in education, so I can say that it's very common. Once one of my students reads one book, they cannot wait to read the rest of the series!These are simple easy books with simple graphics. My daughter is a 2nd grader who reads at about a 5-6 level, and she absolutely loves these books. She reads them over and over, and it takes her about 2 minutes to read one full book.Each of these books has a subliminal life lesson as well. They focus on feelings, without making feelings an awkward subject. Highly recommend them, even if your child is an advanced reader...they will still love these.I initally felt like they were a waste of money because they're so easy for my daugter to read, but after I saw how much she genuinely loves them, they were worth every penny.She especially loves reading them to her little cousins and friends. They have a lot of expression (yelling, excited, ALL CAP WORDS, sighing, sadness, etc.) So they help my daughter practice her expressional reading where she reads without trying to speed read or sounding like a monotone robot! :)

Mo Willems is a favorite in our house! The Elephant and Piggie characters are relatable for kids, and there’s some subtle humor that’s funny to me too when I’m reading with them. The books are great for emerging readers, there are lots of repeated words and the stories are engaging. There are few enough words on each page so that new readers don’t get overwhelmed and enough pages to make them feel like finishing a book is an accomplishment! Absolutely love every book in this series, elephants cannot dance included! Highly recommend to parents of preK through 2nd grade or possibly higher depending on your kid’s reading ability.

If you are looking for charming and engaging emerging reader books, your kindergarten/first grade/early reader will be delighted with these books. The illustrations are very appealing and supportive of the text. The text is predictable, offering enough repetition to be supportive of predicting and acquiring new sight words, without being boring. Very self-reinforcing.

I and my son LOVED these books. These books were the first series that my son used to begin reading on his own. They are simple, funny, and great lessons. So good, I bought some for my sister's baby.

My daughter loves the book and the series by Mo Willems! I can even attest to the fact that I am not sick of this book, despite reading it to her dozens of times. I expect my son will also like them, so I'm in for dozens more re-reads!

Mo's books are darling! I bought 5 of his stories for my great niece and nephew and I know they will love them. The drawings are delightful and so expressive in their simplicity. I am not gifting them right away so I don't have direct feedback from them but I am certain they will enjoy them as will their parents reading the books to them. I definitely recommend these. The relationship between Gerald and Piggie is a wonderful example for children. I'm tempted to keep them myself!

I have bought all the Elephant & Piggie books for my two boys. The characters of Elephant and Piggie are so fun. We love to read them at bed time. My 6yr old son can read through the books by himself.

Love Elephant and Piggie books and this one is no different. There is often an unexpected twist in the books, which is delightful. I like how the talk bubbles are in different colors so kids learn who is speaking what parts. I like how text is used to teach reading without a mono tone of voice. My kids (and the grown ups!) love them.
