I love this book! As the children’s director at our church and mom of four I am always looking for books that are biblically based, kid friendly and instructional to growing in a friendship with God. This book is all of the above! You won’t be disappointed!!!
This book is an amazing resource! I have been anticipating its arrival on my desk and am so thrilled to have it in my hands now. I have recently been looking for something new to use in explaining and teaching our kids on prayer. I LOVE THIS BOOK! 'God Wants You to Pray' is my current favorite section.
I love how this book gives examples of prayers for kids, along with poems and challenges. It covers prayers from the simple to the complex, the good, the bad and the ugly - the ups & downs of life. It talks about questions kids have, fears, joy, sadness, being thankful, etc.... It also has connections with real people from the Bible, along with scripture and a place for kids to write their own prayers!
This is a great way for kids (and parents) to learn to pray. A variety of people (both male and female) from the bible have a short story about a challenge they faced and how they prayed to God about it followed by a space for the kid to write their own prayer. A great resource for kids! With the help of a parent, advanced kids in Kindergarten/Preschool can benefit from the book; it is perfect for grades 1-3 to interact with on their own.
What a great resource for families and church ministries. The stories and prayers are the same as in the Friends with God story bible adding a extra way for families to learn and grow. I love how it gives a note from a bible character along with a verse and a section for kids to write their own prayers. It also gives examples of how to pray and talk to God. As a children’s ministry leader and a parent I am excited to use this new book!

Bible characters help kids understand what prayer means to them plus kids will get a chance to write down their own prayers. I love this book and highly recommend it to jumpstart kids prayer lives.
